The Story of Cowboy Kush
Cowboy Kush all started with one simple idea: create a business card.
When it came time to get new business cards, I didn’t just want another piece of paper — I wanted something unique and one-of-a-kind. Something that captured who I really was. I reached out to my good friends back in Ohio and had them figure out a way to create a business card that stood out from anything else.
At the time, I had just brought my cowboy hats up from Kentucky. I wore them everywhere across Massachusetts because it was part of who I am. I was also a talker, and I recently read a novel titled, "How to talk to Anyone: 92 Little Tips for Big Success in Relationships." One chapter described how every person should have a, "what's it," on them, or something unusual (potentially an amusing hat?) to aid in conversation. I thought to myself, what if I started wearing Cowboy hats around Massachusetts?
When the designs came back, they were perfect: a cowboy hat-shaped business card, a fusion of grit, individuality, and authenticity. As I handed it out across Massachusetts, I always made sure to wear my Cowboy hats. I handed the card to dispensary owners, cannabis connoisseurs, industry veterans, and the reaction was always the same:
“This isn’t just a business card. This is a brand.”

After hearing the same comment, I realized that I had something that could actually represent something bigger.
Massachusetts’ cannabis market was shifting. Oversupply was squeezing farmers, with too many cultivators supplying the market— and with the state requiring so much work, they were barely getting by. I saw an opportunity not just to stand out, but to stand up: to build a brand rooted in community, fairness, and quality.
That little cowboy hat wasn’t just a business card anymore. It became the spark that lit the fire. Cowboy Kush was born.

At Cowboy Kush, we’re more than a cannabis brand. We’re a movement.
We work hand-in-hand with local cultivators, ensuring they’re paid fairly while delivering full-flower, high-terpene cannabis that’s accessible to everyone. We believe that real quality shouldn’t be exclusive. It should be a standard.
What started with one bold idea has become a symbol of something deeper — a commitment to integrity, community, and craftsmanship.
The cowboy hat isn’t just part of our logo. It’s a promise.
